Lightening hair - which colour?

I naturally have very dark brown hair, but light brown eyebrows, light blue eyes and fair, pale skin....I think my natural dark hair is too much of a contrast against the rest of my fair features, what colour do you think would add some warmth to my complexion....without being *too* light (like a full on blonde....tried that, made me look even paler lol)
